Welcome to Uncle Shin!!
The reason I started Uncle Shin was because of a teddy bear a friend gave me to help ease the deep sorrow I felt after my husband Shin passed away.
Holding that teddy bear brought me comfort and saved me many times.
I wanted to share that feeling of being comforted with my family, so I decided to try making one myself.
I used Shin’s favourite clothes and blankets from when he was alive to make many teddy bears. I kept some close to me and gave others to family members.
Seeing them open the box, light up with joy, hold the teddy bear in their hands, and hug it tightly made me so happy. It made me want to make more. That’s how it all began. Miyuki
Uncle Shinを始めたきっかけは、夫Shinが逝ってしまった私の悲しみに寄り添い、心を和らげる為に、友人が贈ってくれたテディベアからでした。それを抱きしめ何度も救われました。
この救われた気持ちを家族にも伝えようと私も作ってみる事にしたんです。
Shin が生前愛用していた服やブランケットを使ってたくさんのテディベアを作って私のそばに置き、
家族にも贈りました。箱を開けてテディベアを見てワァーと喜び、手にし、抱きしめている家族を見て嬉しく思いました。もっと作りたいと思いました。
これが始まりです。
